How to book?

Booking will open on the 9th of January, Groups will need to book as a whole via this link (link will become active on the 9th). Bookings will close once the event is full or the 28th April 2023, which ever comes first.

How much will it cost?

Cost Per Cub  £13.00
Cost Per Leader  £5.00
Cost Per young leader   £5.00
Cost Per Leaders Children   £5.00
Cost Per EST  £10.00

How will the health forms be collected?

This year we are using digital health forms. The lead booking contact will be able to generate individual URLs for each of the young people. This will need to be sent to the parents/guardians to complete. The booking contact will be able to see who has completed what and be able to download copies once all are complete.

Do the cubs need spending money?

The event will be a cashless event, this will help avoid queues and allow the young people to spend the time on activites.

Will there be an Opening and Closing ceremony?

Yes there will be both, there will also be a opportunity at the closing ceremony for investitures.

How many zones are there this time?

There will be 4 zones split into 2 sessions. One in the moring and one in the afternoon. We have paired the zones up Adventure and Skill, Boing and World. This meas that Cubs can float between the two zones in the session.

Can we camp the night before?

There will be no camping the night before for particapating groups. There will be some Core team and EST onsite the night before to allow them to get everything set up ready for you.

What time can we arrive from?

You will be able to arrive from 9 am, the opening cermony will begin at 10am

Where will the activities be held?

The event is at the Royal Welsh Show Ground, we have cadenced the activities round the buildings. We will share a map as we get closer to the event.

Do leaders need to help on activities?

Yes we will need leaders help to provide support to the zones to help run the activities. When you fill out your bookig you will be asked to select your preferences of which zone you would prefer to help with. We will then allocate a preportion of your leaders to help on a zone.

Do we need to bring a shelter?

No, as we have moved the activities we can now make use of the buildings to store kit during the day and for lunch.

What time does the day end?

The event will close at 4.30pm

Will there be hight restrictions on activities?

Following feedback we have cut back on activities with height restrictions, allowing young people to take part in more suitable activities.

Will the activities be outside?

There will be a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities.

Can we bring extra Cubs on the day?

We will be unable to accept any additional young people on the day. The main reason for this is the digitial health forms.

How does the cost breakdown?

Well the £13 per Cub covers, Venue hire, activities and a badge.

Leaders will be provided tea and coffee facilities as well as a badge. Please bring a mug to help us be as sastainable as possible.

Staff and EST will get food as well.
